You can find multiple ceilidhs close to Keltic Quay. We recommend the one that takes place in Baddeck. Please call ahead to confirm the schedule.

Fairly close. Some of the best beaches in all of Cape Breton are within a 35 minute drive, those being West Mabou Beach and Inverness Beach. There is also a swimming area in the Whycocomagh Park within minutes of our cottages.

Can I book a kayak, paddle board and canoe?2021-10-21T12:19:42-03:00

Yes. During times of the year when the weather is suitable we offer free rentals of our kayaks, paddle boards and canoes. Before renting them you will be required to review and accept additional policies and procedures in regards to safety.

Yes we have mosquito’s and blackflies at certain times of the year although most of the year they are rarely an issue.

You and your bike will feel at home

  • Level, paved bike washing area with cleaning cloths provided.
  • We have indoor storage to accommodate your bike.
  • We can provide advice on great places to tour.
How long does it take to do the Cabot Trail?2020-04-29T19:09:58-03:00

It depends, the total length of the route is between 350 and 375 km. It can be easily done in one complete day but some folks take two days to allow longer stops along the way. Many people do the trail clockwise on one day and counter clockwise on a second day. The vistas are very different depending on which direction you are driving.

We do have a dishwasher and a washer/dryer in our two bedroom suites. For those staying in a one bedroom suite you may use the laundry facilities located at the Bayfront Lodge.

Is there a grocery store or restaurant nearby?2020-05-07T19:12:58-03:00

Yes to both. The Co-op grocery store is only a 3 minute walk from your cottage and has a broad selection of items including fresh produce, meats and a liquor store. We have a few restaurants nearby that serve very tasty food.

You only need to bring your food and beverages. Everything else is covered with your Keltic Quay Complete Suite Inventory.

Our suites come fully stocked with a large array of items to help ensure you have everything you need for your stay.

We ask our guests to check in no earlier than 3pm and to have the room vacated by 10:30am. This provides us important time to ensure the suite is returned to pristine condition.

It is located near the bottom of the first page of your in-suite booklet that can be scanned from the QR code in your room.  It is also available at the reception desk.

Yes. All suites have private decks which are approximately 25 feet from the Whycocomagh Bay. Each deck offers spectacular views and fresh breezes.

Will there be air conditioning in my suite?2023-05-23T17:09:32-03:00

Yes, all cottages have mini split air conditioning systems installed.
